Grace Matthews Gerren, age 54, of Belleville, Illinois, died January 26, 1993.  She was a teacher for Belleville Township High School West, a member of Winstanley Baptist Church and the AAUW.  She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Matthews and brother, Wiley Baker.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura J. Gerren, of O’Fallon, Missouri, sister, Barbara (Travis) Northcutt and her mother, Ella Baker all of Carlisle, Arkansas.

Funeral services held January 29, 1993 at Kurrus Funeral Home, 657 No. 57^th Street, Belleville, Illinois with Rev. Wendell Garrison officiating.  Memorials made be made to Planned Parenthood or Hospice of Southern, Illinois.
